Welcome
Thank you to all participants, volunteers and sponsors for a very exciting inaugural Phillip Island Running Festival in 2019!
The Phillip Island Running Festival Team is looking forward to planning our next event.
Trailsplus has the privilege of staging this event in one of Australia’s favourite locations. Internationally renowned for its natural beauty and unspoilt habitat for native wildlife, and of course its iconic, world famous Little penguins, Phillip Island provides the perfect backdrop to a weekend of family fun and festivity.
Like all Trailsplus events, there is a race to suit all members of the family and for all running and walking abilities. The event is run in partnership with Phillip Island Nature Parks. We have worked together to develop our courses that take in all the best coastal trails in the area, from beaches to farmland, from cliff top roads to single trail and boardwalks. And race entry includes discounts to some of the region’s favourite local attractions.
The festival schedule includes a Welcome to Country ceremony, fun and local exhibitors showcasing their wares with a focus on education and information about conservation and sustainability.
Trailsplus events always support CanTeen, the Australian organisation for Young people Living with cancer. This event will also support local charities in their work in caring for community and environment.
So, come as a participant, a volunteer or a supporter. Or simply come to enjoy a great weekend in a beautiful location.

Volunteers
Events like this rely on the generous and passionate support of volunteers. Trailsplus has a fantastic volunteer base, some very loyal regulars, and many runners who just want to be involved while recovering from injury or having a rest from running.
At Phillip Island, Trailsplus encourages locals to get involved and experience the thrill of helping others achieve their goals. There are all sorts of jobs to do, from setting up marquees and equipment, to marshalling and manning aid stations, to checking in runners and registering new runners.
If you get a group together to represent a local club or organisation, Trailsplus will donate to your club, up to $100 per adult. It’s a great opportunity to get kids involved in a fun new community event. Kids must be accompanied by an adult.
Sustainability and Environmental Awareness
Phillip Island Nature Parks and Westernport Water are protecting the Bass Coast area through sustainability programs and environment awareness through education. Trailsplus is committed to supporting their work and asks all participants, including sponsors and exhibitors, to align with this commitment.
Trailsplus no longer uses single use drink cups but requires all competitors to carry their own multi-use cup. These are available for purchase at the event for $5 each, in your choice of green, blue, yellow and pink.
Please consider your impact on the environment by using personal drink bottles instead of single use water bottle, and by bringing multi-use bags for purchases, instead of plastic bags.
Thank you for your consideration of the environment. And future generations will thank you, too.
Sponsors
We choose sponsors and partners because we believe in their products. We are confident you will be satisfied as you check them out and support them.
If you would like to be involved in supporting this community event, please contact us for a chat. We'd love to hear from you.
